About National Exams Organization (N.E.O.)

The independent administrative authority "National Examinations Organization" (N.E.O.) is based in Athens, Greece, has administrative autonomy and is supervised by the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs to verify the legality of its actions. It is an executive body responsible for issues relating to admission examinations in higher education.

The vision of the N.E.O. is a holistic educational ecosystem open to society.

Mission

The mission of the N.E.O. is to ensure high quality and transparency of Higher Education Entrance Examinations.

Legal Framework

The legal framework of the N.E.O. includes the Constituent Law [Article 16 of Law 4186/2013 (A 193)] and its amendments: Article 44 of Law 4264/2014 (A 118), Article 33 of Law 4251/2018 (A 38), Article 42 of Law 4351/2015 (A 164) and Article 57 of Law 4692/2020 (Α΄111).
